Tennis is not just for summer and because we have an indoor court we always run a tennis programme throughout the winter. Play is arranged on a rota basis. 2009/10 Season starts on 5th October 2009. This season we will be having a Ladies Night on Mondays 7.00 - 8.30pm Mixed Evening on Tuesdays - early session 6.30 - 8.00pm and late session 8.00 - 9.30pm Men's Doubles on Wednesday evening 6.00 - 8.00pm Men's Team Night on Thursdays 6.00 - 10.00pm Coaching will be on a Wednesday evening from 8.00pm and on a Sunday morning. Cost to be arranged with Richard Senior. Rotas are posted in the indoor court and also on the clubhouse notice board. For further details email info@armleytennis.net Winter Singles LeagueThe club is also running an in-house singles league this winter 2009. There are currently 3 tables being played. Matches for this first round should be completed by 11th December. See the Club notice board to sign up or contact the organiser Guy Smith for further information - tel:2795879. Winter Mixed Doubles LeagueArmley has entered into a winter outdoor friendly mixed doubles tennis league (described as "social doubles evenings" by the organisers). Other teams taking part are Saltaire A & B, Skipton, Pudsey and Grove Hill. Each team will be played once at home and once away. Matches start 11th November until mid-February 2010. Most teams have elected for Wednesday nights for their home games – Armley’s will be Wednesday or Thursday (tbc) and Grove Hills' will be Thursday. Matches start approx 7pm. Format is 2 ladies and 2 men per team - first there will be a men's doubles and a women's doubles, then into mixed doubles - swapping partners for the second match.
