Membership Info

Membership is based either on an annual fee that covers the period 1 April to 31 March the following year or half yearly membership for summer from 1st April to 30th September or winter season from 1st October to 31st March. Adult membership for 2010/11 is £100. Juniors £50. Students £60. Half yearly membership for adults is £60. Discounted family membership is also available. See the application form for all details.

Our summer season club activities begin the first Monday in April. Organised activities are as follows:

Monday evening - Ladies night from 6.30pm. Also Ladies home matches from 6.30pm and coaching 8.00-9.00pm and 9.00-10.00pm.
Tuesday evening - Social mixed from 6.30pm. Also mixed home matches from 6.30pm.
Wednesday morning - Mixed foursome on a rota basis - 9.30-11.00am
Wednesday evening - Men's team tennis from 6.00pm
Thursday evening - Men's night from 6.00pm
Friday morning - Mixed foursome on a rota basis - 9.30-11.00am
Saturday afternoon - Men's home matches from 2.00pm

These activities generally do not use all five courts, so the remaining courts are free for use by any members. League match details are provided in the clubhouse and on the website.

Outside these organised times, courts can also be used by members, but club protocol is that a court should be vacated after 1 hour if other members are waiting to play.

Courts are generally free for use during the daytime although some may be used from time to time by juniors and local school groups.
Club membership is not required for junior coaching.

Winter season is from October to March. The indoor court is block-booked at various times during the winter which can vary, please see the booking rota in the clubhouse and on the website. The booking procedure is posted in the clubhouse and on the website. It is available for booking or member use at all other times subject to new bookings. Monday evening is for Ladies and coaching. Tuesday evening is for club mixed doubles, Wednesday and Thursday evenings are for men's team practice and club men's doubles. Members pay an indoor court fee of £3 per hour and lighting fee of £5 per hour for booked indoor court use. Booking is not required for the outdoor courts.

Block booking for non-members is available subject to court availability. Booking fees are payable in advance, the current fee for non-members is £8 per hour. Tokens are available at £2.50 for ½ hour of lighting giving a total of £13 per 1 hour session. All fees are subject to change after 1st April of the new financial year. A key is issued to provide access to the clubhouse for use of the toilet / shower facilities. Access to the indoor court is via a keypad. Members and non-members will be informed of the number upon receipt of payment.

Tokens for the outside and indoor courts are available from Guy Smith (07944 381 434) or Janine Johnson (07960 925 033). Please refer to notices in the indoor court and clubhouse. Club rules are posted in the club house and on the website for your information.
